  1. Liskeard playing St Dennis tomorrow (Wednesday) night now! At Liskeard
  2. Dobwalls 1-3 AFC St Austell St Blazey 2-1 Torpoint Athletic
  3. Monday APRIL 15th DIV TWO WEST St Day Thirds 0 Perranwell Reserves 2 A deserved win for the visitors which moves them a couple places up the table. Well struck half-volley goal for their second. Their No.7 - sorry haven’t got his name!
  4. From Graham ….. The reference to a 100 per cent home league record was incorrect. It should have said an unbeaten home league record as Ivybridge drew 1-1 at home to Bovey Tracey back in August. Since then they have won the last 10 successive home league matches.
  5. Ivybridge Town Football Club PRESS RELEASE from Graham Hambly Issued – April 15, 2024 LEAGUE champions Ivybridge Town face a hectic period of three games in five days to complete their home fixtures in the South West Peninsula League. All three fixtures are re-arrangements after the original dates fell victim to the wet weather which has played havoc with local football this winter. Ivybridge, who clinched the East Division title with their 2-0 win at Bishops Lydeard on April 6, will be looking to maintain their 100 per cent home league record, having won all 13 league matches at Erme Valley so far this season. They start with the return match against Bishops Lydeard on Tuesday evening (April 16) (7.45). Then comes a clash against Okehampton on Thursday (April 18) (7.30). The highlight of the week will be on Saturday (April 20) (3.0) with the final home fixture against Crediton. Peninsula League officials will be at Erme Valley on Saturday afternoon for the presentation of the championship trophy, which will be a fitting occasion as Crediton have been one of Ivybridge’s main rivals for the title this season. The final league fixture of the season for Ivybridge will be away to Okehampton on Saturday April 27. Following the completion of their league programme, Ivybridge will face the West Division champions, who will be either St Austell or Liskeard, in the Champions Bowl fixture at Launceston on the evening of Wednesday May 1.
  6. It's proving very difficult to predict many actual 'correct scores' in this crazy season! I also counted the Millbrook v Brixham game as a 0-7 finish despite it being abandoned.
  7. Yeah have to say once the opening 20 minutes or so were out of the way Saturday, and then with Launceston scoring twice in less than two minutes, the visitors looked comfortable to go on and ensure the win. The only thing I didn't quite understand was why the match, with the scoreline 3-0, got a bit feisty towards the end!!!
  8. Launceston Cup Semi Final Sunday 14th April Bude Town Res 1-1 Holsworthy Res ( Attendance over 160) James Wheeler Rob Pearce Holsworthy Res won 4-2 on penalties A good-sized crowd gathered for this first Semi Final of the Launceston K.O Cup with the weather finally improving the game went ahead and it was probably the first game of football played at Pennygillam for over three weeks, due to the excessive rainfall and the pitch was in very good condition. Holsworthy started the brighter and enjoyed the better of the opening exchanges, but it was Bude who took the lead on 10 mins when Steve Box floated a free kick into the Holsworthy penalty area which was not headed fully clear and James Wheeler was on hand to hook the ball high into the side netting. The first half continued evenly, and it was on 38 minutes that Holsworthy scored their equaliser, a corner from the left eluded Jensen Goatcher in the Bude goal and fell nicely for Rob Pearce to volley back into an empty net. In the second half Bude looked the better side but failed to make the most of their chances, Jago Tweitman sent over a very inviting cross in the 88th minutes but Rowan Tape failed to make a good connection and wasted the chance. Harrison Swatton also cut in well from the right wing but instead of shooting he squared the ball and in the goal mouth scramble that ensued Holsworthy cleared and the match ended in a draw. PENALTY SHOOT OUT The game went to penalties Aidan Davis scoring the first for Holsworthy and Bude’s Jago Tweitman blasted over the bar Holsworthy 1-0 Bude Town Scott Bingham scored and Steve Box for Bude also scored with a fine penalty into the corner Holsworthy 2-1 Bude Town Rob Pearce of Holsworthy had his penalty saved by Goatcher and Swatton made it 2-2 Dom Abbot scored for Holsworthy whilst Budes Ewan Reeves had his penalty saved by Dean Chidley Holsworthy 3-2 Bude Jack Walker then scored the winning penalty for Holsworthy to make 4-2 Referee: Tony Rogers thanks to the Launceston Cup for the match report
