Saltash Utd reserve team managerial vacancy.

Recommended Posts

Sadly, due to a promotion in his workplace, Jon Roseveare has decided to step down as Saltash Utd reserve team manager. Jon has worked tirelessly in his time with the club and leaves his role with the team being in a very healthy position. Jon has been upfront with the club and has tried to balance both roles. Unfortunately this has been very difficult and Jon has parted on very good terms. Personally, i can't praise Jon highly enough. He has assembled a young but very capable side. He has promoted players to step up to the first team which ties into the ethos of the club.

As said previously, Jon has left the club in a very healthy position. There is a young squad in place who are all looking to stay at the club. New home and away kits, new training kit, new tracksuits, winter training facility all booked, physio and coach in place and sponsorship is all sorted (although you can never have enough). The committee fully support the reserves and help is on hand on match days. All that is needed is someone at the helm to manage.

All applications will be dealt with in confidence.

To apply, contact either

To reiterate what Martin has said - the team has been left in a strong position and whoever takes this side on will be inheriting a great group of players with massive potential. Everything is in place for someone to come in and continue where I left off and concentrate purely on the football.

My Assistant Neil Mansfield, plus Fitness Coach Brendan Lightfoot are keen to remain involved, which is another positive for all concerned.

I can't thank Martin, Luke Ranford, Bill Wakeham and the rest of the Committee enough for the support they have given me since I took over in the summer. If any potential manager is concerned about the support they might receive - they shouldn't be. It's a fantastic club, with friendly, welcoming people that are all singing from the same hymn sheet and want the best for the club.

As Martin suggested, I have had to stand down for personal reasons, mostly work related and I have done so with a very heavy heart. Having been involved with managing and coaching at various levels for over 16 years, it was a very tough decision to make - but the right one for me and my family.

If anyone has any questions or queries that they might have before making an application to the club, I'd be happy to answer them.

Regards

Jon
