Never watched an East Cornwall League game and then watched two on the same day. Mevagissey and St Blazey seemed more destined to wanna scrap their way through but it was entertaining none the less.

In the Roche-St Austell game, a lot was made late in the game when the young St Austell linesman flagged a throw in them. Roche players were moaning at the fact that he initially flagged the other way and then changed it. Yes he was indecisive and did at times make the incorrect decision but that one he got right and got moaned at but top marks for sticking to his guns.

The Saltash Utd player Tony Jane broke his leg just on the stroke of half time. Then we had to wait for over an hour for the ambulance to come from Launceston. Why was not one there closer to us, you can see why the NHS is in the state its in.

Then about 4:15pm the pitch was starting to freeze to the dismay of the Saltash team who were winning 2-0 and the referee abandoned the game beacuse it was unsafe.

From all at Torpoint Athletic FC, we wish a speedy recovery to Tony Jane.

The reason for the red card is as follows, obviously your are keen to find out.  50-50 challenge, both players got up, the St Teath player pushed the EV player in the face, St Teath player sent off for violent conduct, EVFC player given second yellow card for defending himself.  Once again, it was not that sort of game.  St Teath were by far the better team on the day, deserved winners by a mile, wanted it more then the Elburton players.  Very much bad day at the office.

The ref wasn't great in this game to be fair he gave us St teath a penalty that had everyone in the ground shaking the heads as to how it was given and the two reds at the end where hand bags both players went in strong the Ref should of just had a word and told them both to get on with it

Did not want to mention the penalty, otherwise people would think it was sour grapes.  To be honest it was comical, everyone was looking at the flight of the ball as it was heading towards the moon, next thing the ref gave a penalty.  The EVFC player cleared the ball fair and square, and for his trouble got cautioned.  But that just about sums up the referees performance in the first half and it got worse in the second half.  Like I said in my post it was not that sort of game.  Just move on to the next game
