Fantastic advert ruined by thugs

I braved the weather to watch Elburton v Edgcumbe tonight but unfortunately have left early with Edgcumbe winning 3-2 in extra time after a great come back. Elburton down to nine men and leaving with very little dignity. That's all I'm going to say on the matter as im sure others will have their say

I have no affiliation with either club, but went to the match Cos mate was playing. Firstly what great value for money I got for my £2. The tea and the warn clubhouse was most welcome before the game and at half time.

1st half was the calm before the storm, with Elburton going into the break 1-0 up, but only because of the home keeper, otherwise it was sure to be 2-1 to Edgecumbe.

the home side scored soon after to restart, but then pushed the self destruct button. The player went in hard, and it was definately worthy of a yellow, but the player would not keep his mouth shut, and several x rated remarks and sarcastically clapping the refs decision, he was given his marching orders. Off he walked to the dugout, and then walked back on and across the pitch to the changing rooms, all the time shouting to the away fans, offering them for a fight to 'sort it out'.

It was then all Edgecumbe, and having pulled one back, an Edgecumbe player was fouled in the area. Yellow card offence, nothing more, but of course, the Elburton player couldn't keep it quiet. After several fruity comments about the ref, he was given his marching orders.

The penalty was sky ' d over the bar, but they made the most of their numerical advantage, and scored another 3.

The worst part for me was, the sarcastic nature of the way one elburtons management went round all the players at the end of the game, shouting his head off. It was just embarrassing. I usually was Peninsula premier football, and the 1st's are exactly the same, shouting and bawling at the red, trying to influence their decision.

Well don't Edgecumbe on a hard fought win

It makes me laugh, why do players shout and holler at the officials, they are not going to change their minds all of a sudden so why do it. Also need to remember without officials giving up their own time, we will not have the beautiful game. The amount of referees who walk away because of pure ignorance and rudeness towards them is shockingly bad

I was surprised to read the postings about Elburton, two years ago I travelled down from Bucks to watch Truro, Elburton Villa joined the train, their players were a credit to their club, at that time they were in the upper half of the table, have they really declined like some comments appear to suggest. What a shame if they have.
