SALTASH UNITED

Recommended Posts

Wont be short of applicants i wouldnt have thought.

Saltash have some big decisions to make coming up and need to get it right.

Heard Luke Radford is leaving next year, big position to fill and maybe could argue the most important job to flll first.

Cooper would be a good choice but has he not already been there and struggled last time around at Launceston.

Heard John Clarksons name pop up yesterday, serious money involved there but not always a long term plan.

Also heard player-manager roles for Gavin Coulton or Danny Lewis mentioned but very unlikely.

Phil Bayliss wont be involved back in football for a long while, a serious manager but most of his contacts come from around the Torquay, Exeter & Newton Abbot area but again would be a top choice.

Big decision to make for the Saltash board and one that shouldnt be rushed into although with there league position very very healthy, the championship is still in their grasp an a decent appointment could be the key although some would argue its St Austells to lose.

Best of luck to the Ashes.

Nice post there Teflon123.

Luke has done a great job within in time at "the ashes" and will be sorely missed by all involved with club.

Judging by what I read on the website, the club is also looking for a programme editor too.  I think they are also looking for committee members and helpers.

I was at the pub last night having a chat with a few old chaps and they mentioned a couple of possibilities, Ian Southcott, Darren Edwards and Karl Curtis, also a possible return for Alan Evans.  I laughed them off, but on reflection, all have the potential to do a great job at a well established club doing well in the league so far!
