Ian Pethick Posted January 24, 2015 Report Share Posted January 24, 2015 In another thread on this forum , I incorrectly eluded to Will Stringer being the real identity behind the character " Mary Poppins" . I mistakenly listened to the speculation of others ( neither of whom are connected in any way to Plymouth Parkway FC) and joined in with a pretty ridiculous and infantile game. I wish to apologise in full to both Will and his family,and offer a full retraction of all that was said by myself.It was a stupid thing that I got involved with , and I did not appreciate all the consequences and aftermath at the time. It was totally wrong to even think that someone who gave several seasons distinguished and committed service to the club , and also retains a clear bond with many of the officials ,players and fans of Parkway. would be the source of scurrilous stories with very little basis in truth.
