Ian Pethick
Who is a cult hero amongs the players that you have had at your club, either past or present? The players who may not have been the most talented, but always gave everything, and who the supporters loved or possibly someone who just had a rapport with the fans. Two spring to mind at Parkway, Marc Bonney and Sam Cooper (who visits Bolitho Park with Newquay on the 3rd January). Just interested which others clubs are regarded similarly, and who they remember as being possibly better than they actually were.
THE BALD ONE
Been supporting Parkway for 5-6 years now and I think my all time favourite is Lee Bevan. He makes football look easy. Excellent vision and a superb left foot. He never seemed to panic and very rarely just booted the ball clear, he would pass or play the ball out of danger. Another player who was good to watch , was the skillful and brutish Glyn Hobbs. On his day one of the best players I have seen grace this league. Not on his day , well enough said. Lol. Barters
Far too difficult for some teams as you don't want to miss anybody out - Torpoint formed in 1887 - John Bolten - Gaffer Dawe P&D - Leigh Cansfield - Mike Vigus for all he has done - Louie Dearden - Austin Toms's father who won five CSC medals before the First World War - the Stephen's - the Cardew's - Darren Northcott - Tony Cusack - Andy Gammon - the list is long and distinguished and I have missed out some great players like Viv Folley and Pipes for is outstanding performance at Poole - that side today would win most games - forgetting the players that left to play pro like Roy Carter

noahc
In the late 1990s Alan Lenton at Falmouth. Loyalty, scored goals and took over in goal on several occasions and definitely helped the club win the league. Im sure Mike Odgers will confirm this,
razor61
Of later years for me it is Chris Kitson loyal club man and top goal scorer for many years and helped Sticker to much wanted to SWPL West promotion! CoachKT
We have the 'Legend' that is Roger Bonaparte at Okehampton this season; Only been at Okey since September but an SWPL Legend in general. Still banging in his share of goals at 47! and an inspiration (and mentor) for the young strikers we have at the club.

Loyalty, scored goals and took over in goal on several occasions and definitely helped the club win the league. Im sure Mike Odgers will confirm this, Alan Lenton took over in goal against struggling St Blazey in 1996/97 after Sid Taylor was sent off. He was only beaten by a Paul Sidey own goal. Falmouth won the game 2-1 and took the title on goal difference. That season he will probably be remembering for scoring 4 at Millbrook and then 3 against Newquay three days later. In 1997/98 he kept a clean sheet in a 1-0 win against Bodmin after Sid Taylor went off injured in the early stages.

jack1951
Didn't Alan also score one of the fastest hat-tricks ( in actual playing time, half-time coming between the second and third goals). I cannot remember who against.
Guest
He scored a four minute hat trick in his first spell at the club. It was on Tuesday 1st December 1992 against Wadebridge Town. He scored his fourth in the second half as Falmouth won 7-0. I think the times were 28, 29, 31 and 46 minutes.
