Martin Eddy
Redruths first official opposition from outside the Combo League. bit of a trek for the borough mind but we will make them very welcome.
Dave Deacon
Can Edgcumbe play at home if their ground is in Plymouth? What a great question? Should they be affiliated to the Devon FA rather than ours? Interesting!
Martin Eddy
their choice they paid their affiliation and cup entry so they can play. CCFA must of sanctioned it before draw was made

CCFA must of sanctioned it before draw was made Yes I appreciate that obviously the county passed it, but you must admit the situation is intriguing that a club who's home ground this season is in Plymouth, is playing in the Cornwall County cup competition. I'm not suggesting any funny business - just rather unique. Has it happened in the CSC before?
Martin Eddy
Dave I know you were not suggesting that. I am sure this subject was brought up a few seasons ago but cannot remember any details. was it a Cornish team playing in a Devon league?

Rs777
It does make me laugh how people will even try and use this as something to slag off the Cornwall FA..... This happens all over the country and is certainly not unique.... Off the top of my head..... Abingdon Town and Utd playing in berks and bucks county cups but are in Oxfordshire, same for Didcot town and Milton Utd The bristol clubs mostly play in the Gloucestershire ones. Banbury play in the Birmingham senior cup.... Football cups are all about who you affiliate to, not where you are from.
Soccer Follower
There was a Plymouth team who played in the Cornwall Sunday Cup just a few years ago. Were they called Lamorna? There are some teams in the far north of the county who play in the North Devon League but also Cornwall Cups.

I thought we were just having a discussion on whether this was a precedent or not!
Martin Eddy
I only mentioned the CCFA as they uphold the laws in our county.
