MOUNTAINEER
It's only up the road to Frome, just goes to show how difficult it is to get enough to make away travel worthwhile, and only £15.
JacobEnglefield
I'm sure I heard at the Burnham home game on Saturday that they had a good amount of interest. Might be wrong though.

TMS TIGER
somersetspur - what do you gain by denigrating those who are unable to travel away for legitimate reasons ? I dont downplay your commitment to travelling to support and watch Truro City - fairplay to you all.
MOUNTAINEER
Jacob, I was surprised to see it on the Cornwall Football Forum because as soon as someone speaks a little out line on the other forums they are told to get back to CFF, I am of the opinion that this forum has been looked upon as being the enemy by the club for quite some time. Rita-Ann will be singing Rayvon's tune - "Everybody needs somebody sometimes ".
TheolderIgetthebetterIwas
Probably because we don't look at TCFC with rose coloured spectacles.

My point my friend,is that the Official Website are telling us all, about the interest for the new OSC, and has well over a 100 names, and is a great step forward. So can they fill a bus to Frome. This is a fairly local game,so a great opportunity to do so.Truro City deserve a big support the way they are going. If you go onto Tigertalk, you will see the excuses listed on more than one ocassion, about the size of the support. My opinion is,at the moment Truro should be getting bigger support home and away. When Truro got promoted the last time from the Southern League, average home crowds were over 500,and the away support was good as well. So come on,the Club wanted the OSC,make it work. TRUE FAN
I,m not a Truro supporter ,i follow Bodmin as i now live in Canada i don't get to games. I do like to follow the results of all the teams from Cornwall, and as a Cornish man an proud of Truro and their achievements ! I can't understand somersetspur why you just don't move on, you,ve had your say about the club, i agree you did a lot to help the club with your support, but let it go.... move on and just support another club!!! TMS TIGER
true fan - i dont think somersetspur can reasonably be expected to give up supporting the football team. My point was merely to say that i can personally state that having attended all home matches this season i feel i support the club as best i can as I am unable to travel away. I do not wish to comment on either side of the fallout.

I am a Truro boy,and followed TCFC most of my life. To be branded a thug and hooligan who brought disgrace onto the Club,by the media and press,is not acceptable. There is plenty going on behind the scenes,by the banned 7,and support is growing all the time. I will not stop until,I clear my name. We have already started proving to other Clubs we are not thugs, and they are starting to let us attend games,to watch Truro. When we cannot watch home games we watch other games of football,at Clubs which appreciate what we are.FOOTBALL FANS.

Dave i'm not against an official supporters club,in fact I think every club should have one,as long as it's run by the supporters, and a helping hand from the football club.We had a great supporters club a few years back, and saw as many as 3 or 4 coaches go away to matches when we were in the western league. But in the end Heaney didn't like the idea of a supporters club making a little bit of money by selling drinks and snacks on match days,it was money that he thought he should be getting. So he closed up the tea van that supporters had spent hours getting in good condition for the purpose, and brought in outside burger vans to that he had a cut of the action. From then on he didn't want anything to do with a supporters club. And if you remember, following that TISA was formed. So in principle i'm all in favour of the idea of a official supporters club,as long as it's run by the supporters with perhaps a helping hand from the club, and no more than that. MOUNTAINEER
David, we all know the excellent job this site does for the whole of Cornish football, if my posting came over as criticism that was not intended and I apologise. I was just surprised you were asked to help fill the coach with those who's postings are so often thought of as being anti Truro City.
JacobEnglefield
Yes somersetspur that's what I heard. There are many reasons as to why people can't get to away games, for whatever reason. However I do feel that we should really be able to fill a coach to Frome, the team deserves the support from all the fans at the club. A coach to Banbury, I guess we will have to wait and see. The Windmill On The Shirt
Well done Frome Town, pulling away from the bottom of the table, from a secret fan, should of gone to Badgers Hill (old name of ground) as Torpoint Ath SWPL had no game. grim reaper
I have to agree with the TCFC Chairmans opinion last evening that Tom McHale was put in at the deep end, he was out of his depth, which is not to be taken as any form of critisism of Toms potential ability. It simply illustrates the loss of the second team to blood new players can no longer pay dividends. To have expectations against a Poole side riding on the crest of the wave with a plus 39 GD before last nights game would test the most seasoned goalie, when in my mind it would have been more favourable, for Truros progression in the cup run and a confidence builder for Tom, to have introduced him against a Banbury side with a minus 39 GD. Mike Odgers
Always risky having a First team keeper as a 'loanee' when he can be recalled at a minutes notice.
grim reaper
Agreed but was team selection against Poole down to a knee jerk reaction for the loss against Frome last weekend.
Burto
No. The selection of Tom McHale was due to Charlie Burns being recalled by MK Dons for Monday night's game against Bradford in case he was needed as cover. Agree it was a tough baptism for a new keeper but better in a cup game than when league points are at stake. I don't agree that he looked out of his depth at all. Some new keeper jitters certainly, but also some very good saves. You touch upon a good point though - Poole made (I think) seven changes from their standard line-up - but due to the lack of reserves we don't have enough players to do that...
