Like most newspaper reports, not the whole story, Bere Alston manager sent off player from liskeard sent offa couple players with handbags, as a result of that Liskeard manager sent off, a few minutes later the ref picked up the ball and walked of with less than five minutes to play, with no explanation, nothing more than happens at some games some times.

According to the above quoted report, if it is all correct, then the Referee's decision to abandon the match was absolutely the right thing to do.

Two players sent off for fighting and both managers dismissed and players still not controlling their behaviour. ............. (who knows how many other misdemeanours and cards!?).

Who needs it !!??

Not necessarily so. As I said we must wait for the referees report . Who knows what he might say. If a player had been sent off for fighting why was he given a second yellow card. I would have thought a red would suffice. As I said wait for the report and what the respective county FA's have to say. We await with interest.

If the referee gives a red that could have been a yellow: if the ref gives a yellow that could have been a red ..... That wasn't a penalty, that was a penalty, the ref is having a 'nightmare' ................... Shouldn't really matter - get on with the game.

Should the Referee have to deal with it when dismissing and booking players and dismissing managers simply hasn't worked !?

I am not saying which team started what, i wasn't there.

But if the players and team officials cannot get on with it then the referee has very few options available to him.
