noahc
when their first team were in the swl, st lukes colleges home ground was glasshouse lane, exeter. when they joined the western league, the ground was the cat and fiddle, the current exeter city training ground. are they the same with just a simple name change or two different grounds? Soccer Follower
I think they are two different grounds Noah.Glasshouse Lane is down by the River Exe in Exeter whilst the Cat & Fiddle is out at Clyst St.Mary.
noahc
thank you for clearing that up nigel. there was an occasion where their first team were playing an amateur cup game on the main ground and i believe their second team played falmouth on the college ground as the teams had a marathon distance walk to the pitch and had their half time slice of lemon on the pitch. John Mead
I certainly played against St Lukes on several occasions when they were in the SW League and the games were always at Cat & Fiddle

John Richards
Always 'Cat & Fiddle' that I can recall, never played any where else, even went up there for an evening kick-off at 6.30pm, had to take the afternoon off work, in those days you either lost the money or had to work the time up. Very good set-up there, I think Exeter City still use it.
