St Blazey v Saltash United

Blaize Park. :goal:

Saturday 25/10/2014 :goal:

kick off 3pm :goal:

Todays stand out match in the SWP league as two inform teams meet at Blaize Park. St Blazey have only lost 1 league game in 8. Saltash have won 8 of their 10 league matches. Their two defeats have been heavy, Home to Withy 1v4 and St Austell away 7v2. St Blazey go into todays match knowing a win will take them above Saltash who start the day 2 points clear of St Blazey with a game in hand. St Blazey could end up the day as high as 4th if results go their way. 3 points and defeat for St Austell at Stoke Gabriel and Parkway dropping points at home to Camelford are what would need to happen although I cant see either St Austell or Parkway dropping any points today. St Blazey have conceded only 3 goals in their last 8 league games. Will their solid defence see off inform Salatsh?

The clubhouse will be open all day. Watch live football and enjoy a pint. :drink:

Hot food available in the clubhouse. Cant beat a good sausage and chips on a cold day.

Tea hut open with Pasties, tea and coffee and soft drinks etc.

£5 Adults :goal:

£3 OAPs :goal:

£1 Program :goal:

£1 50-50 ticket :goal:

St Blazey 1v3 Saltash. Att 78

3 dropped points for St Blazey today. Leading by a goal of the season contender after the first few minutes St Blazey made decent chances to add to that lead before half time. They probably didnt deserve it with some off the poor passing today. Have to wonder if playing twice a week for several weeks took its toll today. Saltash came out after the break and scored 3 goals in 15 minutes and killed the game although St Blazey still not playing well, created plenty of chances. Still our biggest issue, were not scoring enough when in control of the match.

Big games keep coming with Parkway at Blaize park on Wednesday followed by next weeks F.A Vase tie against Gillingham Town.
