farewell friends

Recommended Posts

Im happy that I am now up and running on the internet. But being a beginner i apoligise for any bad grammer or spelling. My first kit wash was 1994 when ray Nichols was manager. And I have finally washed my last Falmouth town kit last season.

Some fond memories and experiences. These memories would not have been possible without meeting and working with some brilliant characters. Players like the street brothers, Andy parr, mark rapsey, Justin ashburn, Dave Philp, sid Taylor, . Far too many players to name them all. Not forgetting the laughs and car journeys with Steve Kimberly, Alan Carey and Steve rose ( that's nice!!) Best memory was being involved wt. Dave ball and keith barker wen we won the treble.

I can't believe how much time I have now. Will use the time to spend time wt my family and son mark who is getting married next year. I may catch the odd game too. But relieved I don't have to be the first and last to leave with kit.

farewell friends. Thank you for the memories.

Trev. Former kit man

At all clubs there are people behind the scenes who tend to get forgotten about or in some cases not appriecated(most do though), people tend to think about the match but without these people who are more than valuable these games just wouldn't happen for the services they provide for nothing or very little than enjoyment. Enjoy your retirement Trev, but don't forget to pop to the odd match here and there

First and last to leave....I know how that feels Trevor, still doing it after over 40 years. Enjoy your time Trevor, its only now you don't do it you realise how much of your life you've lost.

We won't be replaced, and that's trouble for a lot of clubs.

I suppose I better apologise for that tackle down Draceana avenue 40 odd years ago now.....you probably remember it !!!

Enjoy all that spare time Trev!!! You deserve it after all the hours spent at Bickland and all the miles travelled for the Black and Ambers mate!!! Just like to say on behalf of the players how much we appreciated you and as you say we had some great times in that dressing room over the many years, all part of one big team mate! Thanks for everything Trev and give my best wishes to Mark, the Jones family will always have a place at Bickland Park. Just hope it's there for a few more seasons yet!? Best wishes To a lovely gentleman x

You did me twise that season only cos you couldn't catch me! But those were the good days where you where you could actually tackle a player and not roll around and cry. Good memories.

Thanks mark. Was asking after you at hospital recently. 24 goals short of your 2000th goal?

Enjoy your free time Trev. Makes a hell of a difference when you wake up and realise you dont have to rush up the ground to sort shit out or have that pressure. Sure you will enjoy yourself now mate. Great servant to Falmouth Town. No doubt you will be missed. The old Man says "not like you to mangle someone in a challenge Bakesy" whatever that means!!!! ?
