Saltash manager resigns and now a new one appointed!

Danny said in his interview they wouldn’t have stayed with what was affordable. This word ambition keeps coming up wrongly really given the costs involved. -

Agreed it’s harsh on those players. We’ve just had one of the best seasons, those lads and Kracky were brilliant for the club. A different blend of football names started to come over and mixed with the old. On Plymouths doorstep this a positive to the bigger football world of progression. Getting to know the lads, people would have stayed and enjoyed their football I feel playing for the club they’ve enjoyed playing for over the last season/ few years. Add in they are really nice people. With the squad just finishing 2nd and showing progress year on year, it isn’t really a positive either at this point to think it’s all change (time will tell, encouraging appointment). Look at Luton, sky said get recruitment right etc. Kracky had helped with that. I don’t know much about Tavi players, some must be from outside the town too, look at where they are now. They play another countryside based town in Cinderford. If they can do it then why not us. It off course would be good for youth team players etc but that’s more an internal thing if deemed they don’t get chance. -

It’s a peaceful dejected feeling but with respect for protecting the club, unless it turns out everyone stays/ in the long term in a new era. The rumoured replacement is exciting but can’t really think 100% right now with respect for Danny. Ive seen changes in sport and off course they will always happen. I was sad Dane went last year. It’s nature of being a fan I guess.

Yep. Not going into personal things but as over the years, for me another great season. The club be it committee managers players etc have all help build to this over the years, 2nd place at top end of Western League. -

That is the sad thing about it all if the case. Just finished a brilliant season, risk not getting up there again or only try when the time is right if money available. When would that be. A squad together like they’ve been great to see, I imagine it doesn’t always happen. It’s what you want as a fan. -

A little bit harsh that. The secretary isn’t a disgrace nor committee. Some of the anti saltash has been sad to read on here during the season (kracky going, the boys carried on), Danny rumoured to leave a few months ago (during season), it wasn’t the case. Changes happen in football. I have my views on any budget cuts off course having just watched us finish second but not one for here. Taking leave and booking a last minute travel lodge in Bristol that’s the passion the club is built on. -

Well done to Mousehole, I’m a saltash fan. Relentless, winning so many in a row. Nice to read some of the information WRJ says there about the build. Cornwall football is building nicely too.

HELSTON ATHLETIC V FALMOUTH TOWN VIDEO HIGHLIGHTS
hills19 replied to Piran's topic in Toolstation Western League
Sounds like a good day at Helston. Good crowd good for cornish football. Falmouth adjusting to the step up. Off topic Torpoint beating Mousehole too, it can only be a good thing for our area. Pleased for Rikki, watching him Tuesday it helps me appreciate he got the winners, I think he can have a very good season. -
Big Josh Storey to have a stormer and score the winner.

It isn’t always black and white but yes he did run and get involved (i genuinely didn’t see if a lamp, not watched the clip) the game was tense all night. I can’t comment on the ref with my respectable views knowing it’s all seen as criticism because it’s a forum. I saw it from the stands first half. It was so much better when it turned to football second half. As for the tackle, I’ve not watched the video back but what a player Sheps. Wrong place wrong time, he was class for Helston.
