The 'big overweight guy' your referring to Keith scores around 30 goals a season!

st.Austell got to be the team to beat.

Torpoint another well run football club struggling around the bottom

Surely Ivybridge are the team to beat, top of the league and have beaten St Austell and Bodmin already this season!!

Hi leedsunited - you don't surprise me regarding the 'big overweight guy'. Bobmin are well organised and use, amongst other attacking methods, their wingers. High balls across aimed at this big guy (sorry don't know his name) are a good bet - his height and body strength make him hard to defend against. Sadly on Tuesday he chose to feign being fouled too many times and shouted at the ref accordingly. But, he can turn a defender and thereby is dangerous.

Adam Carter - Quality, could walk in any team!!

Prior to the start of this season the top SW Peninsula scorers were

Adam Carter 237

Levi Landricombe 166

Chris Wright 163

Andy Sargent 162

Sam Davey 161

Mike Body 156

Steve Ebdy 143 (Witheridge)

Matt Drummond 136

Mark Gusterton 135

Copied from the 2013-14 SW Peninsula Review booklet

Sorry-Missed Sam Hughes who was on 150 goals at start of season.

I cannot understand the Falmouth v Newquay game being abandoned because of floodlight failure in this day and age! Surely technology is in place to easily locate the fault. Also, the referee was a bit hasty and uncooperative by all accounts in calling time on the match from what I am told.

Have to agree with the olderigetthebetteriwas - the other morning four of us checked the lamps at The Mill - two in a cherry picker - one lamp was stripped back and totally rebuilt and it turned out to be a fault with a board that you need to order and takes time to arrive

St Austell, Parkway, Bodmin & Ivybridge will be the top 4 with maybe Saltash challenging. Ivybridge have certainly set the pace and have surely had two of the best results this season in beating St Austell and smashing Bodmin but just feel they lack strength in depth and if there front two dont feature, they could suffer. StAustell look the best bet as the starting 11 they field most weeks is up there with the best i have seen in recent years.

I'm surprised sam Hughes is not in there but mark gusterson is, fair play to him. Some top strikers in that list

Sorry I missed Sam Hughes wh was on 150 goals

Updated today "Golden Boot" 2014/15 on the SW Peninsula forum which means Mark Goldsworthy (Helston) has passed the 150 mark.

These goals are only from SWP League games and League cup

Sorry Paul I do not have the definitive list of SWL goalscorers .

I have some SWL handbooks(missing 2004-06) which show the leading scorers each season.

I have lost track of where you are playing at the moment-Is it Bideford?

Talking of keepers did I see Andy Meeds back in goal at Tavistock,

try and find out his overall appearance record I am sure he kept a tally the last time I saw him.

Thanks for that Super - walk in yes but, he ain't too good at the running. :) Still, can't deny he scores goals apparently.

Walk into any team except Tiverton
