riggins74
As i said it looked a great side on paper. Tommy's testimonial was a great evening, especially for Tommy himself. I believe we (Falmouth won) against a County X1, perhaps you can enlighten me, did you have the line ups for that game? I took some set pieces that resulted in couple of goals,I think i did grab one myself.

RAPPO
Great cross that was Renno!! Cheers mate. :-). Still reckon Fordys own goal was mine as well Mike!?! Had a nick on it!!! :-) great result and night for a great player and one of the nicest gentleman in Cornish football history!! Remember the "Matthews semi final" at Blazey when we beat Torpoint 3-0 in the SWL cup. Tommy had a couple including an outrageous overhead kick! Not bad for a big centre half!! Was injured that night, remember jumping up when Tommy scored that one and hot tea went all over my lap!! Bollocks were burning for days but well worth it to see that!! # Tom Town legend. Mike Odgers
Thanks Ian-I have the material if someone would like the challenge. It would be too much hassle for me at my age.If you got to the Falmouth Town AFC websitethen move from Club-History-Results Data BaseChoose your season and there is very interesting information especially the early years. This was compiled by Frank Thomas with the material supplied by Gary Harrington, Tony Pearce and myself. There is still much to add however. noahc
rappo i think the matthews semi final was the 3-2 win against st austell in 1991/92 when tommy scored an overhead kick and george "fell about laughing"
RAPPO
Think you're right actually Noah, now I think about it!!! Sorry, the memory ain't too great these days to be honest! I remember games and goals from 30 years ago and forget ones from last season!!! And I only played 4 games!!!? :-). RAPPO
Hi Noah, sorry! Was watching my second home Holland scrape a win!! I'm on 1979 competitive goals in adult football mate. Wish friendlies and youth football were allowed, would have topped 3000 by now!?! Not kicked a ball for 10 months due to a bad knee injury at the start of last season but hoping to try and have one more if possible although I got my doubts, it's taking forever! No fun being old mate. :-(
noahc
rappo you have to keep going, it would be the biggest football tragedy since gary lineker retired on 48 england goals. with rolling subs they could literally roll you on to take penalties!
