  1. @davegrose - After your comments last week, I assume that Mr Nichols must be a qualified ref else you wouldn’t have played? And before you ask, yes I will be checking every week.
  2. Dropped the kids off at the pool at the Dragon Centre in Bodmin yesterday evening and popped down to the pitch. Saw the 2nd half of Bodmin AFC playing Gorran. Closely contested game - never a 3-1 to Bodmin. Bodmin’s first came from the spot. Never a penalty! Gorran’s left back clearly got a toe on the ball. Gorran were rattled by this and quickly conceded two more. Long range consolation at the end bobbled over the keeper! Great advert for duchy football!
  3. Agrée Ferraro….but the result of the day must go to the Gorran boys. Fully deserved the three points by all accounts
  4. Great result for St. Minver Reserves... *Goes to the ECPL forum and sees that their first team’s game was postponed* ...correction...great result for St. Minver Firsts
  5. I have a beautiful image of Paul ‘Sharp Eye’ Collins up at Bell Hill, on his own, down on his knees with a tape measure examining the fence/touch line distance to the nearest millimetre. What a wild Saturday afternoon - hope you enjoyed yourself. Since football has been played up there, I have only ever known of around 30 injuries - two of which were fatal - to players colliding with the fence. Two a season isn’t a bad return! I’ve played at some interesting grounds. I feel more at danger twisting an ankle on the Lamerton mole hills or falling on an infected needle on the playing fields at Saltash But hey ho - rules be rules. Anyway, thanks again Paul. Have a nice evening IDing everyone down at your local.
  6. I can imagine it is difficult to find eleven players when half your squad is recklessly suspended. Hopefully, the loose cannons have put these spare Saturday afternoons to good use finding themselves
  7. Gorran - 2 Tintagel (who had 3 sent off) - 1 Starting to wonder if Tintagel have something in for us. Or do they behave like a bunch of reprobates on day release against everyone?
  8. I was there watching and thought Gorran put up a good fight against a side 2 division above. I would also question the 4th goal that went to Kibell. For me it was a huge deflection so would put it down as an own goal
  9. Gorran - 2 Lanivet - 2 Gorran robbed! Clueless decisions. Two very questionable penalties for Lanivet, Gorran goal disallowed and a penalty turned down after the Lanivet linesman gave it!! The Lanivet equalising penalty being the last kick was the hardest thing to take. Followed by the Lanivet manager laughing at the end, "I think the scream made sure he gave it!" joke!
