Scooby I apologised for what happened and in all honesty it had nothing to do with me. I said some would see it as sour grapes and I wouldn't blame them. Those with the most to blame have now departed and normality has returned, to this club at least. I do know the only money changing hands now is when I buy a beer. If ur lucky and catch me on a good day (sorry really good day) I might stand you one as well m8. All the best Cozy.

I think perhaps my post wasn't worded as well as it should have been. I have already seem a lot of passion and loyalty but it still staggers me that someone is throwing his money at it.

Yes a complete waste of money. Yet another level of football being tainted. I honestly thought ladies football would b about the love of the game and club loyalty. Seems I'm somewhat naive.......

Having recently taken over at Porthleven Ladies it has come to light that certain ladies were being offered financial incentives to play last season. This was not sanctioned by the club or even known about. It's also seems that approaches were made to other players at other clubs. We whole heartily apologise for this and it again was done without the club's knowledge. On the bright side the gentleman concerned is no longer associated with Porthleven AFC. Don't worry though if there are any ladies looking to earn a few quid he is still offering else where. TRUELY SHOCKING.......some may say it's sour grapes on our part. You know what I wouldn't blame you. Hopefully his new team realise what's going on. Perhaps like us behind their backs......rant over.

Dangerous thanks for the kind words. Thank you to all concerned on stopping the game for a minutes silence very sporting and very fitting. The food will be provided for everyone who comes to plays us. One of are sponsors "The Hideaway Porthleven" deserves the thanks there. As for the footy your right it was played in a great spirit and I agree another 10 and you may have got more out of it, All the best for the rest of the season and see you at yours............

Shortlanesend 5 v Rangers 8 Not a game where defences were on top to say the least. Played in a good spirit by both sides. Well done Rangers on a first win and a first game in charge for the Gaffer.

Not a rumour but Porthleven Rangers are pulling out of the Trelawny League. After joining the Falmouth Helston League in 1995 its seems we can no longer commit to another season. Its simply down to a lack of Players and no one willing to take over the key roles in the club, So Rather than failing to raise sides and face ever growing fines and costs we have made the decision to withdraw. We would like to thank all those involved with the league and all those we have met on the field over the years. Its been emotional.................

Porthleven Rangers are looking to Play Sunday Footy this up and coming season. Firstly though we have a few questions to ask. 1. Who do we contact. 2. How much does it cost. 3. How many games. 4. When do we need to register by. 5. When does the season run from till. If anyone can answer or point me in the right direction please do.
