  1. Over 3000 spectators attended the Home and Away Western League gamrs. Helston 1 (R.Shepherd)--Falmouth 0 Att 1179-----------------Falmouth 1 (O.Massey)--Helston 0 Att.1845
  2. Looking at the news clips of the game Truro should have made a welcome bit of revenue with the Yeovil Town support. There doesn't seem to be a record of attendances of the games being played at Gloucester
  3. Tonight Truro City v Torquay United I see is all ticket after dialogue with the Gloucester Constabulary. With Meadow Lane capacity 4000 I wouldn't have thought that there was any crowd trouble for a Monday night travelling quite a distance to a neutral ground. HT City 0--The Gulls 2
  4. So you are expected to complete the season on time even by playing on consecutive days. Example Mon 8th. April Truro City v Torquay United Wednesday 10th..April.Truro City v Eastbourne Thursday 11th.April Truro City v Yeovil Town
  5. F A judgment day 31st.March-Are there any latest pictures of stands, turnstiles, floodlights etc--or is it on a promise to be ready by July. ?
  6. Dont want to bore football fans with Falmouth Stats (check in on the FBB F Troop -Facebook) Nige, but James Ward became the 25th . Town player to make 250 appearances--next in line is Luke Brabyn on 245.
  7. Fans equate to income and income gets the quality players which results in success. If you (or your ficticious friend) are genuinely interested in the demise of WL Falmouth (and not for ridicule) I could find the weekly press cuttings during that dramatic WLP withdrawal of March /April 1983 but the common reason was the falling attendances. From now I will reconsidrer displaying historical and current (Falmouth) facts and stats-I sincerely didn't want to gloat
  8. Looking at Attendance figures on 'Non League Matters' site-Falmouth head the Western League table with an average of 368 (-2% )on last season) but will be a positve + after Boxing Day. Plymouth Parkway of The Southern League Premier-South (ave.370) who are 190th. best attended club in British Non League Football according to Non League Matters site. Falmouth 191 position. Helston who havn't disclosed their gate v Welton Rovers are in 14th. place in the WLP averaging 113 (-39% on last season)- This brings back memories of Falmouth when they first joined the Western League in 1974 (winning four consecutive titles) but the novelty of WL quickly dwindled forcing them to demote to the C.Combination League and just about survived close down. Although the nature has changed these days with owners using the clubs as a toy for their enjoyment its a case of here today and gone tomorrow.
  9. Is that what the Club is called Martin ?.-Dare say I will checking the live updates from Bickland and the 'punch up' from The Rec'. LOL
  10. All this banter is boosting the attendance by the hour-I think its your turn Le Boss for a comment.lol How ever I do agree with you that an early kik off will generate a better gate
  11. Falmouth looking to complete their first double of the season having won 3-1 at Kimberley (?) in august. In 7 Western League Premier visits to Bickland Park The Ashes have not Lost P.7-W.3-D.4 -F.16-A.9 A crackinbg SWL spectacle 26years ago
  12. Bryan Helley the Falmouth keeper made the journey from Brixham for seven consecutive seasons 1974-81 (almost a 200 mile round trip)-once he was snowed in Falmouth for the weekend.
  13. James Swan joined from Truro City U 18's -Falmouth record-debut Aug.2nd 2022--- 59 appearances 3 goals-
  14. Saw this on Ebay-Daniel-It looks like John Garwood (centre)---Roger Berry in goal and Roy Mallett heading.
