Wendron United Pre Season

Recommended Posts

Wendron United FC first team and second team will commence their pre season training from Tuesday 20th June 2017.
Pre season will begin at 7pm sharp and will take place every Tuesday and Thursday evening, other then when pre season friendlies are taking place.
The firsts and seconds  will train at the same time, been led by each team manager and coaches.
We are delighted that manager Jack Greenwood is joined by former striker - Mike O'Neill - who will be the assistant manager. The duo carry plenty of experience and high quality coaching and are wanting to build on a solid couple of seasons in the SWPL Div 1 West as they look to progress higher up the league.
The second team currently play in the Trelawny Premier League and are managed by Josh McDonald and Andrew Mitchell. After gaining promotion to the top of the Trelawny pyramid in their first season in charge, they reinforced their status in the league last year with a top half finish. This season they hope to push on again and are aiming for promotion to the Combination League.

The third and forth team will commence pre season training at a later date.
Rob Noventa continues to take charge of the third team, assisted by Antony Williams, they currently play in Trelawny Division 2. Rob's goal is to continue to progress through the the Trelawny League pyramid, adding silverware along the way. After a competitive season last year in a strong Division 2, they hope to use the experience gained last year to push for promotion this coming season.
The fourth team continue to make outstanding progress and provide that vital lynchpin into adult football for many youth players. Managed by Rob Messer, he continues to provide a team built around youth aided by some much needed experience. After a disappointing 2015/16 season in which they finished bottom of the Trelawny Leagues, Rob turned their fortunes round in the 16/17 season. Last year they were in the top 4 for the majority of the season before achieving a mid-table finish, remarkable progress considering the teams in Division 4.
Wendron United FC have made great progress on and off the pitch in the past few seasons. The 2016/17 season saw us, and Peter Thorne, win Cornwall FA Groundsman of the year. We take great pride in our facilities, which many of which we built ourselves: players, committee members, managers, chairmen and community members; this underlines the type of community club that Wendron is - a football family.
We have a great, welcoming community at Wendron United FC and we strive to continuously make progress on and off the field.
If you are interested in becoming part of our club whether it be in the form of playing for our Saturday or Sunday sides, sponsorship or any other opportunity, then please email: wendronunited@hotmail.com or inbox on here for more information or if you wish to attend pre season training.
Thank you
Viva la Dron
