  1. Great appointment Marksy..... Franco will bring a fresh approach to the club!
  2. James Isaacs is looking for a club to manage at next year......
  3. Gwinear will be looking to put a reserve team into the league As first team Manager I have struggled to keep all my players happy with pitch time and most weeks having to turn away players with Squad size. With this and also being approached by a large volume of players we cant support all this interest with one team. Fingers crossed we get the support of the league to help the club accommodate the players who's clubs are not participating in the league next year
  4. Div 1 Marazion 0-0 Gwinear - Halftime Marazion 1-1 Gwinear - Fulltime we should never have gained a point from this, Marazion through everything at us for the whole game and some great defending and our keeper pulling off some good saves we kept in the game. Marazion scored with 20 to go, roughly. Then felt they should have had a penalty but seconds before the challenge in the box their striker handled the ball, this resulted in no penalty and a sending off for Marazion for dissent to the ref. A little bit of a fuss after this and Gwinear then got a direct free kick in the other end for Duane Britten to slot it in the corner 1-1. We the. Went to a back five and saw out the last 3 minutes to get a point. a bit of hand bags during the game after the sending off, not from players but from a few supporters who wanted to let the ref know there thoughts. All in all a good game and the sun was shining. Two saturdays off now, which is strange and then midweek games start. If Gwinear can show the spirit and togetherness they showed today for the last few games I would be surprised if they managed to actually stay up this year.
  5. It's gorgeous mate! 2 of our back four out so no mind games mind
  6. Marazion vs Gwinear Tough game for us tomorrow, Marazion with a full squad and us missing 4 players I see it being a great game to watch
  7. Div 1 - League Cup Marazion vs Gwinear With some deadline day sales and buys, Gwinear have a new look squad for the remainder of the season. We have players returning to the squad after some time away- Barry Penfold, Nico Penfold, Steve Putman, Shaun Gunn and Kieran Trenberth. New Signings - Ryan Ault, Ben Pearson and James Beesley. Players leaving - James Isaacs and & Jnr, Dylan Isaacs and Liam Isaacs. We also introduce a new manager to sit alongside Alan williams, Duane Britten, Duane has played a few games for Gwinear this year but in his new role he will be helping to prepare the team and bring structure to our game plan. Lets hope the rain stays away and doesn't ruin what is predicted to be a tasty affair (marazions words, not mine) last meeting produced a 0-0 draw and I wouldn't like to bet on this one at all.
  8. Thanks Chris, all sorted
  9. Has anyone got the number for James at St.agnes? Very Urgent, league are suggesting we played an ineligible player on Saturday- Ben Beesley. everyone knows who Ben is and I need someone to confirm with the league that we didn't play him. Thanks Or any players who played for St.Agnes on Saturday and knows Ben Beesley and can confirm he didn't play?
  10. Big game at the bottom of Div 1 this weekend, Gwinear vs Lanner. A must win game for Gwinear if they want to try and get away from relegation for a second year, Gwinear with a full squad this could be a very good game to watch if your bored.
